Mrs. Orpha "Nellie" Mims



Graveside services will be conducted Friday, July 9, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Anderson District Cemetery for Mrs.



Mrs. Mims died July 4, 2010, at the Oak River Rehab facility in Anderson, CA.



Survivors include sister, Hazel Stephens, of Anderson, CA; nieces Bonnie Kimmel (spouse Gary) of Cottonwood, CA, Donna Stephens of Anderson, CA and Mary McManus (spouse Leon) of Cottonwood, CA; nephews Roger Stephens (spouse Diane) of Tigard, OR; Dennis Stephens (spouse Kathleen) of Anderson, CA, and many loving great nieces, nephews and friends.



Nellie is the widow of Robert Mims, who preceded her in death.

For many years Nellie and Bob traveled around to different parts of the state because of Bob's work, but when Bob retired, Nellie was finally able to realize her dream of relocating to the North State to be closer to her loved ones and to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of country living in Cottonwood.



Nellie was a talented writer, painter and an avid stamp collector. She loved good food, country music, and family get-togethers.



Most of all she loved her family, and her loss will leave a great void that cannot be filled.
