Betty Louise Brooks 87 of Redding, CA passed away July 4, 2010 at her home.

Betty was born July 3, 1923 in Corvallis, OR. She lived in Redding for 25 years.

She was a member of Eastern Star and the Women's Bowling League in Covelo, CA. Betty was a homemaker for 71 years and was preceded in death by her husband Perry L. Brooks. Prior to losing her husband they traveled and went on many fishing trips.

Betty loved to make quilts and did a lot of sewing and ceramics all the while being a wonderful mother and homemaker.

Betty also kept books for her husband while in the logging business in Oregon.

She enjoyed her grandchildren, family and friends, getting together for BBQ'S and fishing trips. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and the slots at Win River.

Betty is survived by her daughter Pat Moyle of Panama, daughter Kay O'Bryan of El Dorado Hills and son Bill Brooks of Santa Rosa. Sisters Earlene Clark and Pat Gibson of Redding. Preceded in death was another sister Jean Newhart and a brother Warren Brown. four grandchildren. (1 deceased) nine great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Betty will be missed by all.

Graveside Service will be held at McDonalds Chapel on July 12, 2010 at 10 a.m.
