In Loving Memory Alvin Leonard Cedros 5/8/1929 -6/25/2010

Alvin Leonard Cedros passed away quietly at his home in Redding, CA on June 25, 2010 after his battle of a terminal blood disease. He was 81 years old.

Alvin was born on May 8, 1929, in Scotts Valley, CA to Albert A. Cedros and Delphine L. (Lemos) Cedros. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years. Alvin was predeceased by his first wife of over 40 years, Rachel J. Cedros.

He is survived by his second wife of 12 years, Bert Cedros of Redding, CA, his brother, Hank Cedros of Milwaukie, OR, and his sisters, Henrietta Burcell and Aileen Tipton of Crescent City, CA. He is also survived by his five children; Dennis Cedros of Livermore, CA, Bob Cedros of Sebastapol, CA, Steve Cedros of Hayden, ID, Craig Cedros of Portland, OR and Denise Singleton of Owings Mills, MD. Alvin had seven grandchildren; Ashley Shofner of Nampa, ID, Amy Reneau of Hayden, ID, Tiara McGlothen of Aurora, CO, Danielle and Darcie Cedros of Livermore, CA, Maria and Sam Cedros of Portland, OR. Alvin had five great-grandchildren; Cayden Cepero of Aurora, CO, Brantson, Ethan, Heston and Emrie Reneau of Hayden, ID.

A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Mercy in Redding, CA on Tuesday June 29 at 10:30 a.m. Friends are welcome. A funeral service will be held later this summer in Weed, CA.
