Timothy Dean Wooters, 49, of Happy Valley, CA passed away June 28, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Redding, CA after a brave battle with cancer. He was born in Oakland, CA, August 25, 1962. He was raised in San Leandro, CA where he enjoyed his childhood and graduated from high school. After losing his mother at age 17, he and his father soon moved to Happy Valley, CA. He quickly came to feel as though he'd always lived here. In 1989 his father passed and Tim was left without a family to call his own until he married the love of his life Pamela (Clark) Nelson and with her a full extended family of children, grandchildren and later great grandchildren. Although Tim didn't have children of his own, that never seemed to matter. He never knew the word "step-children". He always considered her family nothing less than his own and likewise for them. He always felt that his family was his greatest accomplishment! Family and friends were the most important thing in life to him and he was known to be generous to a fault. It never mattered to him whether you were blood related or not, even if you were another species! He loved and cared for numerous animals and viewed them as his extended family. In his later years he spent much of his free time at the casino, that is when he wasn't at home tinkering with one thing or another or spending time with the grandkids! His grandchildren really enjoyed their time with their G pa!

Tim was preceded in death by his parents Don and Beatrice Wooters.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Pamela and his 3 children: Kimberly Ard (Richard); Mikah Nelson (Angela); and Deborah Nelson. 14 grandchildren: Nolan, Nathaniel (Samantha) Nicholas, Anabel, Mikahla, Madeline and Nelson (children of Kimberly); Timothy, Katlyn, Stephen and Sarah (children of Mikah; and Scott, Thomas and Matthew (children of Deborah); as well as 2 great-grandchildren: Isaac and Izabella and his favorite cousin Mary Dement. In addition; he is survived by his many animal children.

Celebration of life will be held Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the home of Richard and Kimberly Ard (17344 Olinda Rd. Happy Valley, CA) Picnic Style Potluck to follow. Everyone is welcome. "In lieu of flowers, please consider the needs of the family."
