Mary Annette Heflin passed away at home, June 25, 2012. She was born in Orland, CA in 1937 and graduated from Chico State University in 1961. She was preceded in death by her son Matthew Heflin and daughter Brenda Harris. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Joe Heflin, her daughter, Bev Dawn Heflin and her sister, Dortha Gould, nephews Michael and Thomas Morrison and niece Barbara Kinsinger. Her career and passions included 38 years of teaching in Shasta County schools, raising her family with her fun loving husband, her church family and her loving God.

Viewing will be on Friday, June 29th at 3:00 p.m. at Allen & Dahl in Palo Cedro. A memorial service will be held at the Valley Christian Fellowship Church located on Rancho Road, Redding, CA on Monday, July 2nd at 2:00 p.m. A reception for family and friends will immediately follow in the Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
