Ellen passed peacefully at her home in Anderson on June 25th 2012. She was born to Dorothea and Edwin Dotzenrod on February 11, 1939 at Camp Pendleton. Ellen grew up a Navy brat and lived in many interesting places. Several of the California Naval bases and Guam. Most of her childhood was spent in Long Beach, CA. She attended David Star Jordan High School and Long Beach State with a credential in elementary teaching. She taught primary classes for 40 years and inspired many students with her gifts.

Ellen is preceded in death by her mother Dorothea, father Edwin and her sister Joan Kelly. She is survived by her sister Kathy Karsten and her brother John Dotzenrod. Niece Chalynn Dotzenrod, nephew Jason Dotzenrod, 12 great nieces and nephews. Dear friend, Sally Bush and many other friends.

A memorial service will be held Monday, July 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Allen & Dahl, 2030 Howard St., Anderson, CA. In Lieu of flowers, the family would prefer a donation to Wounded Warriors or Salvation Army or a charity of your choice . We will miss you Ellen but never forget you.
